Friday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Today is Friday the thirteenth and many people, even Christians, are superstitious about this day. The fact is, it's just another day. There is nothing bad about the number thirteen. Bad luck is not some we should espouse to as believers.

Luck is left for chance and as if the universe has its own ability to create destiny. The universe does not have a mind, will or ability to do anything outside of what God has created it to do. Nothing is outside of His ultimate control.

So, who and/or what do you trust in? For believers, we have the hope of God and have the certainty of His promises. He is not a man that He should lie. We can trust fully in Him and His word. Do not get caught up in worldly nonsense, folk lore or human superstition. Trust in the Lord! The only thing anyone or anything can do to you as a believer is threaten you with heaven. So, fear not, trust in the Lord and go make today a great day!
