Friday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. Confident people do not have to be aggressive and are not intimidated easily. Arrogant people are masking insecurity and often lash out with loud, angry bursts of emotion to get their way.

When you pray, do you come from a place of confidence or arrogance? Confidence in God to answer your prayers are from a place of security in the relationship. You don't have to yell at God to get Him to hear you, nor can you intimidate Him by your aggression.

You also don't get your prayers answered by thinking you can ask whatever you want and He will bow to your wishes. God is God alone, and not you. When you ask, be reverent and know His will in the matter. If you study His word, you will know the will of God. When you ask according to His will, He answers.

We have to align our prayers with His will and then we can be confident and rest in His ability and willingness to answer. Our confidence is in Him, not our prayers. He is able to accomplish His will and when we ask in accordance with His will, we can be assured of His answering our prayers. Be in relationship with Jesus, ask according to His will and you can have confidence He will answer to help you make a great day!
