Friday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! God has given us all things for life and godliness and by His grace, has given us a new nature that is not filled with the corruption of the lust of this world. Therefore, we can serve Him with diligence to add to our faith.

To faith, we add virtue, to virtue knowledge, self-control, then adds to that perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and finally love. Not just a small amount, but in abundance that we may show Jesus everywhere we go with faithful representation of the image He is bearing in us.

This is for our benefit to be fruitful and able to be much fruit, good fruit, fruit that lasts. Jesus told us to go bear good, fruit that lasts, not to just look like we're fertile like the fig tree that had leaves but no fruit. Be fruitful in all you do by letting the Holy Spirit bear fruit in you. Then, you can always find a way to make a great day!
