Friday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! This is a dangerous prayer to pray because God will do it. He will search you and show you the true content of your heart and mind. I don't always think the right thoughts or believe the right things, if I'm honest. How about you?

There are times I have to stop the thoughts in its tracks and replace it immediately. There are times my heart wants revenge and I have to stop that and pray to be merciful and to make room for God to be just. I have to crucify my flesh and release my worry to Him.

I have to let Him purify my heart and have access to all the places I try to hide and keep locked. You can only bury your dysfunctions for so long before something brings them out. You have to be vulnerable with God to let Him heal all the places your broken. You have to give Him access to all the places you'd rather keep hidden.

You have to let Him into the places of darkness so His light can expel it from your life. You have to let Him love you in all the places you don't know how to love yourself. Then, His grace can be sufficient and His power made perfect in your weakness. Let Him love you more as you make a great day!
