Good morning! When you receive Christ, it is not just something you do as a religious act to fulfill some requirement. It is coming into a relationship with Christ that restores the relationship with the Father and facilitates fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
As with any relationship, you have to continue to work at it to maintain it and grow closer to one another. It takes communication, fellowship, time and love. It is that way with God too. A relationship doesn't just happen, it is intentional.
Make time to spend time in the presence of the Lord. Take time to listen and open the word of God to learn His voice. Pray and make petitions with thanksgiving. Study the word so you understand the character of Christ and develop the fruit of the Spirit. Remember to be thankful in all things and for all things. Put all this into practice and the Lord will be with you so you can always make a great day!
