Good morning! The world has become extremely sensitive and easily triggered, offended and incited by words. We have to be careful how we speak to people, especially those outside the body of Christ.

We cannot expect them to think, react or respond like we do to the truth. How we present it can also mean the difference between someone receiving it or rejecting it. Love with grace in sharing the truth should be how we approach our speech.

It should be seasoned with salt, not smothered in it. It should make people hungry and thirsty for the truth, not repulsed by it. Think about a perfectly cooked steak. If seasoned right, it is delicious and makes you want more. Overly season it with salt and it ruins the steak no matter how good the quality the steak is.

So it is with our speech. We should not seek to prove ourselves right but to reconcile others to the Father. Be careful not to be purposely offensive. Let the motive be to win them with love and grace. When you win someone, that is how you truly can make a great day!
