Friday's Devotional - 5/01/2026

Good morning! Many people do not understand a believers infatuation with the cross of Christ. It seems foolish to those who have a hardened heart. To us who have received Jesus, it is the power of salvation that redeemed our lives.

If you only knew! If you only knew the hell I was going through, the turmoil, the chaos, the torment...If you could see my life then and now side-by-side, you'd see the power of the cross and why we who have experienced the love of Jesus have this fixation on Jesus.

I can tell you, I was hard. I was evil, like seriously and actively practiced evil. Love had betrayed me and I wanted to make it pay for it. But that was earthly love, not God's love. One night, while wanting to end it all, His love showed up in my bedroom when I had a gun to my head. That night, I experienced true love and have not been the same since.

Everything about me changed. I am seriously a completely new person. That's the power of the cross! I don't know what hell you have faced in your life, but I can tell you that Jesus' love is greater and His cross more powerful than the hurt going on in your life. Let Him love you and you'll see why believers gaze upon the cross with such wonder. Let His love fill your heart today and you'll find how to make every day a great day!
