Wednesday's Devotional - 10/21/2026

Good morning! The verse before this says He will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed on Him. This verse tells us why you can keep your mind on Him and why it's important. Let me break it down.

We can follow the imperative command to trust when we see how trustworthy He is. "The Lord" combines two names of God, one in a shortened form, to describe Him as "the self-existent one." Everything that exists came out of Him.

So all the things around us we tend to trust in are all changing and perishable. But God is stable and unchanging. He exists outside of all the parameters that change constantly. He is a strong tower for those who take refuge in Him, the Rock of Ages (everlasting strength). Trust in the One outside of the effects of your circumstances who can speak a word to change them all as you make a great day!
