Monday's Devotional - 10/19/2026

Good morning! Because Jesus raised from the dead, we have a living hope of eternal life. We don't have to wonder if we are good enough. Jesus is good enough and we can trust His work to speak as a testimony to the Father.

This is how Peter starts his letter to suffering Christians who are facing intense persecution in a foreign land. Instead of first addressing the suffering, he reminds them of their Savior. He reminds them of the hope we have as believers no matter what the circumstances we are facing.

Peter reminds them that God's abundant mercy has given them a new birth, a new identity, and a future secured through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Their suffering is real, but so is their hope. And because Jesus lives, that hope cannot die. And the same applies to us today. This same hope is alive in us who believe today. Keep focused on Jesus and let His living hope keep you strong as you make a great day!
