Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Writer's picture: Bret SanorBret Sanor

Good morning! It is important to take some self-inventory on a regular basis. The Bible tells us to "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves." (2 Corinthians 13:5) Are you living like you are in the faith?

Jesus told us to be meek, which means humble and not puffed up or proud. ! Corinthians 13:1-7 tells us what love should look like. Does it fit the version of love you exude? Jesus could have thought of Himself higher than anything, yet He chose to serve.

Jesus said He came to serve, not to be served and to give His life as a ransom for many. When you think too highly of yourself, serving is beneath you. If serving is beneath you, go to the feet of Jesus and think about those holes in His feet and hands.

Try to justify why you don't want to serve. Be careful, pride is what got Satan kicked out heaven and it will keep you out if you do not deal with it. It is one of things God hates. Stay humble, keep serving and love people with a true portrait of God's love as you make a great day!
