Good morning! This verse is part of a passage from verses eleven through sixteen that talks about being equipped for ministry. It talks about leaders whose job is to equip the saints for ministry to be effective and mature.
No one gives a person an important job who does not have experience or training for it first. It is important that we know the truth so we can speak the truth. But it's more important that we speak the truth in love and not just to show ourselves to be right.
Often people speak the truth but it;s just to win an argument and prove they are right. We are to mature in Christ, stay in the love of Christ and speak the truth in love as Christ did. Love is the gift of God that people need to experience for them to desire to change. Let all you do be done in love and remember Christ is the head, we are the members of His body so you can make a great day!
