Thursday's Devotional - 8/27/2026

Good morning! Cultural trends are affirming people to mutilate their bodies in various ways marring the image of God in themselves. One of the biggest lies the enemy wants you to believe is that your body is your own and you can do with it what you want. There are consequences for our choices.

Some of them are more permanent than others. Ultimately, separation from God permanently is the most severe consequence. When you decide your body is your own to do with as you please, you mock the gift of God in the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. It was not a cheap price He paid or a frivolous gift He gave us. It shouldn't be taken lightly.

We are meant to be image bearers of our Lord to glorify Him. Our lives should point people to Him and not ourselves. So, whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all for the glory of God. Give Him the rightful place of having Lordship over your body, mind and spirit. We are to love Him with all we are and glorify Him with all of our life. Seek to glorify God as you make a great day!
