Good morning! The Apostle Paul has moments of really deep revelation that is hard to grasp. This is one of those passages. The mystery of His will is that none parish but all come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It is a mystery because how can a perfect God be so willing to save such sinful humanity?
God is love. It is His nature and character to love. It is His desire to save His creation, not destroy it. In Christ, He did one work that would be the only, final sacrifice needed once for all to provide this salvation of His desire to be a reality.
He did it so that humanity could be restored to a relationship with Him and so that humanity would exercise the dominion over the earth He gave to us in the beginning before sin existed. This is why Paul started out this chapter with praise. Praise God today for His marvelous, priceless gift of His Son as you make a great day!
