Good morning! This chapter of Zechariah is taking about the Day of the Lord as it is called. His judgment shall come and there will be signs in the heavens and the earth. The day is approaching quickly.
We see the precursors happening now and it serves as a warning for us to make sure we are in right standing with God. He is not messing around as He has said in His word, "My Spirit will not strive with man forever." (Genesis 6:3)
He was speaking in the days of Noah in the wickedness of the humanity in that day. He sent the flood and destroyed everything for a time. Jesus said, "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the day of the coming of the Son of Man." (Matthew 24:37)
We live in a wicked time when evil is called good, sin is celebrated and righteousness is persecuted. Look up! For our redemption draws near! Be ready, stay ready and do your best to make each day a great day!
