Monday's Devotional - 8/24/2026

Good morning! Jesus is teaching about three things here: Fear, Provision, and Human Worth. With rising costs of everything in the world, it is natural to fear how you will have what you need. Jesus assures us it is nothing to worry about because God always provides.

Worry is easy, faith is hard. Worry is easy because we see all the things around us and process what we believe by what we see. But Jesus is telling us to have faith because even what you see needs filtered through faith. Even the smallest, seemingly unimportant creatures are provided and cared for. How much more so will you be?

He says sparrows are sold for very little, yet God still gives them worth enough to provide for them daily. He then says we are worth more than many sparrows and even the very hairs on our heads are numbered by Him. You were so valuable that He sent Jesus to die for you to be free from sin. Trust Him and you have nothing to worry about.

So, the next time you feel the urge to fear, look around through the lens of faith. See what God is doing that the world ignores. Know you are loved deeply, valued immensely, and God will not leave you nor forsake you. Take comfort in this today as you make a great day!
