Friday's Devotional - 8/14/2026

Good morning! In order for you to exude something, you first have to receive it. You cannot shine the light of Jesus if you have not received Him, the Light of the World. You also cannot bring glory to God with your works if you have not first glorified God with your life in a relationship with Jesus.

You cannot give what you have not received. You cannot invoke others to do something you yourself have not done. Do you glorify God in your life and praise Him? Do you rejoice in the works He does through others or only through you? You not bring glory to God if you are trying to shine the spotlight on yourself for your works. If Jesus desired to glorify God in all He did, how much more so should we?

Let His light shine in until it overflows from you. Then let it shine so brightly that people look beyond you and see Him. Glorify God in all you do, with all you are and in all your works. Then, the Father will highlight you as a vessel of His glory and trust you with His light to be a witness for Jesus. Shine brightly as you make a great day!
