Friday's Devotional - 11/06/2026

Good morning! Ephesians 5 is all about relationships. This passage is about how we treat each other in the body of Christ. We need encouragement every day. The world isn't hiding the darkness at all anymore. It's tough to live in this world bearing the light of Jesus.

The temptation is to hide it and let it out only when it's convenient. But Jesus hasn't called us to that safe, easy life. We are to shine the light of His life into the darkness of this world and give people a chance to see a way out of the wickedness of this present age. It can drag you down especially if you try to go at it alone. We were never meant to walk this faith walk alone.

Therefore, build each other up in word and deed. Sing to one another those hymns, psalms and spiritual songs that lift your soul out of the weariness of life. Remind each other of the endless love and grace of Jesus while giving thanks to Him for it all. Don't let the enemy steal your song or the melody of joy in your heart.

The enemy would love nothing more than for us to hate on each other, leave each other to fend for ourselves and isolate us from the fellowship of believers. Don't let him win! When tough times come, smile anyway. Not because you enjoy the hardships, but because Jesus is good despite the trials. Let His love carry you through and help each other so together you can all make a great day!
