Good morning! In our obedience to God's commandments, we have things we do and things we stop doing. We stop sinning because it separates us from God and breaks the relationship He paid to reconcile through His Son, Jesus.
We start living for righteousness because He has been gracious to us to forgive our sins. We need to be active and diligent at getting rid of the things that condemn our souls. It's serious and not trite. We cannot take His grace lightly.
Our flesh is strong and the desires of it can really deceive you if you are not careful. Ask Jesus to help you change the desires of your heart to do good and not evil. Be aware of temptation and walk away from opportunities that come to drag you away from His love and mercy. Get rid of the things that hinder you living for God and fill your life with His word, prayer and worship. Be aware of the devil and his schemes so you can overcome and make every day a great day!
