Good morning! The verses before this verse talks about the enmity between Jews and Gentiles and that as Gentiles, we had no hope being strangers and foreigners to the promises of God and being without God in this world. But now, because of Jesus, we have hope.
That's the context of this verse. We are no longer estranged from God and outsiders. We are welcomed as children of God and fellow citizens through the blood of Jesus. We have hope and can draw near to God through Christ. This is worth celebrating.
Jesus came first for the Jew but also the Gentile and we are all one in Him through His death and resurrection. Through Him, we have access to both the Father and the Holy Spirit. We are no longer needing to stay away in hopelessness. We have access and can draw near to God. Rejoice today and draw near to Him as you go and make a great day!
