Good morning! Since we have the assurance of the promise of eternal life through Christ, we ought to live like we know the cost of our sin and the weight of eternal life. Let us do as this verse commands.
It is in line with what Jesus taught and commanded. It was not suggested we live holy; it was commanded we do. Why? Because God is holy and His people should reflect the one they belong to in gratefulness to the forgiveness we so undeservedly received.
Live like you know what your sin cost Jesus. Live like you know His grace means something. Live like you know eternity is worth the struggle. Live for God so He will not be ashamed of calling you His child. Get rid of that which keeps you from drawing close to Him and let the fear of the Lord perfect holiness in you as you go out and make a great day!
