Wednesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! The will of God is that none perish but all come to repentance and a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In this we can be called sons and daughters of the Father in heaven.

This perspective makes it a little easier to love your enemies and to bless those who persecute you. When you see them as someone God cares about and sent His Son for, it changes your viewpoint and tolerance level of their behavior.

Oftentimes some of the hardest people who do the most to persecute you or hurt you are the ones who respond the most to love and blessings. When someone is mistreating you, bake them some cookies, buy them a coffee or do some other blessing for them.

Many times that simple gesture is what turns their heart to Christ because they can't understand how or why someone could do something for them when they are being so hurtful. Love others even when they hate you. Jesus did this from the cross, forgiving during insults and it changed the heart of the thief on the cross beside Him. Be the reason someone has a change of heart as love them and make a great day!
