Tuesday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Sometimes, it's not what you say, but how you say it. People can often take a strong message if you deliver it in a gentle way that exudes love. When someone is angry, a calm reasoning voice can be what stops their fit of rage and turn the situation around.

On the flip side, being belligerent and answering back in anger or rage will cause the situation to escalate to a higher level. The results may be devastating or even irreversible. Be careful with your words and your tone, especially in a heated moment.

Avoid the temptation to strike back after an insult or disagreement. Oftentimes, it's not really you the person is upset with and more of the situation or a bad day. Maybe they received bad news and are stressed out over something like a terminal diagnosis or loss of a job. Be kind, be gentle and speak softly with your answers. It will help you to always be ready to make a great day!
