Sunday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! If we are to be imitators of God, we will put these verses into practice. Seek good and not evil. Simple command, but often hard when we face injustice. Often times we want a humanistic brand of justice like an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life.

But we must leave room for God's justice and judgment and trust Him to be enough. When we do, God will be with us. It's also important to hate what God hates and love what He loves. This means to hate sin but to love sinners. Be just and upright in all things.

When we seek to do things God's way, we give room for His grace to be imputed to us. His grace sustains us when we feel like our love, patience and understanding has worn out. He sustains us and His presence guides us to keep us in holiness and love. Let His grace sustain you as you seek to imitate God in all your ways to make a great day!
