Good morning! Jesus is the Lamb of God which is the perfect reason for Him to be born in a barn. Where else should a lamb be born? Shepherds were the first ones to be told of His birth and who better to be told of the birth of a lamb than shepherds?
When they received the news they were filled with joy, excitement and expectation. They rushed right away to come worship Him. They got to see Jesus face to face. They got to worship Him in person. It was the first worship service dedicated to Jesus who was the Lamb who would become the King of kings.
They returned to their home and continued to worship, glorifying God with praise. For they had seen the face of God and the fulfillment of the prophesies of His coming. Everything had changed. What is your response to encountering Christ?
