Good morning! It's New Year's Eve and many are making preparations for the evening's celebration and festivities. In all the plans you make, let this verse remind you to be sober. It's easy to cut loose for just one night, but let this remind you it takes a lifetime to build a good reputation but it takes a moment to destroy it.
Making a momentary dumb decision can have eternal consequences on you and others. The devil desires to get in wherever he can as a roaring lion seeking someone in a moment of weakness to pounce on to devour. He comes to steal, kill and destroy everything in your life. Be willing to walk away from what you used to willingly walk in to.
Remember what Christ has done in you and what He has saved you from. Let this reminder serve to keep you obedient to Christ and not conforming to the desires to live as the world does. Be holy in all you do and let your sobriety be a witness to those who do not know Christ.
Let them see Jesus is all you need and the Holy Spirit fills you with joy substances never could. Be safe, be sober, be alert and be diligent to live a life that glorifies God as bring in the new year. Make it a great last day of 2022!
