Good morning! This verse needs context to understand the fullness of its message. Verse 5 tells us that we have no confidence in our sufficiency in anything but our sufficiency in everything is from God alone. Because of this great sufficiency found in our trust in God, we can be entrusted with the new covenant. This is not one of the law which reveals our sins, shows us our insufficiency and sentencing of death. It is of the Spirit which gives life despite all those things. It is in Christ, through Christ and by Christ that we have this covenant and assurance of eternal life. We are not in religion, but relationship trusting in the sacrifice of Christ, the shedding of His blood, once for all that we may be ministers of His new and better covenant.
