Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Jesus being born did more than give us a Christmas season. It changed time and the way we denoted time. It was no longer BC, but AD. It was the start of a new era, a new covenant and a new year.

Think about all the new year represents to you. For some it means time to diet again or the start of a 21 day fast, some life-changing goals or some workout plan that usually fails by February. How many times have you set new year's resolutions and didn't see them through? Probably a lot, but Christ came and accomplished what He was sent to do.

He didn't fail but changed everything, even time, as we know it. He had a world-wide impact just by being born. We still tell time by Him and there is no other means of salvation. We can celebrate this all year. As you start your new year, make plans to draw closer to Christ. Dedicate to make time each day for prayer and reading of God's word.

When you include God in your life-change plans, you will definitely change your life because God is at the center of your plans. Have a very blessed new year and make a great day that sets the tone for the rest of the year!
