Good morning! The eighth "I am" statement of Jesus tells we need to stay committed once we realize He is the way of salvation. We need to commit and remember, it's not about us, but Christ in us that accomplishes anything in life.
Jesus is the source of all life and through Him all things exist and hold together. A popular statement today is "I got this" and I understand what they mean, but it is not a mindset that glorifies Christ. Jesus said we can do much and accomplish much but it's not in our ability to do it without Him.
Apart from Him, we can do nothing. Why? Because He is the source of all life and connects us to the root of the Father. Branches detached from the vine die quickly, but those attached to the vine have access to the source of life-giving nutrients. Stay attached and you will have eternal life and accomplish much in this life through Jesus. Make a great day!
