Good morning! Life is precious but it is temporal here on earth. One day we will all face an eternal destination. Where that is depends on our relationship (or lack of) with Christ. Whoever desires to follow Christ must deny themselves, take up their own cross and follow Him.
A cross means death, so in context, it means take up a lifestyle of dying to yourself daily and putting on the life of Christ. If you desire to save yourself in this life, you will lose your life in eternity.
But if you lose yourself to this life for the sake of Christ, you put on eternal life with Him forever. It will not always be easy, but God promises us it will always be worth it and He will be with us every step of the way when we follow Christ. Follow Him today as you make a great day!
