Good morning! The disciples had a hard time seeing Jesus as God because He was physically with them. He was a man like them walking around in flesh. Even though He did many amazing supernatural acts, the reality that God had put on flesh and dwelt among us was difficult. It still is for us today!
It's hard to understand it, so when Jesus was telling them He would go away, they were scared. They thought He would set up a physical kingdom and rule from an earthly throne. But He was giving them the kingdom in their hearts so that when He went away, they could make it.
He reassured them with some promises. He said we don't have to fear. He has a place prepared in eternity for us. Finally, we will be with Him, will have a place for us and He will come again to take us there. It is comforting to know Jesus will not forsake us or forget about us. With all the trouble you face each day, let not your heart be troubled. Jesus is with you so you can make a great day!
